You will be responsible for winter and seasonal maintenance of Ontario highways, using various trucks and heavy equipment.Watch Ledcor’s Innovation, Culture and Community video to see what it’s like working for Ledcor and apply today to join the Ledcor Highways team in various locations across Ontario.http://htwww.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ3t7Fo0Ul4Essential Responsibilities Assist Foreperson with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reportsSupport Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestonesMonitor the quality of work performed by the crewOperate equipment on work sites as neededHelp ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptlyWork outside in all weather conditions Qualifications Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks Must possess a valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with air endorsement Must provide a copy of a 3-year driver’s abstract Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset Work Conditions Local applicants will be given preference due to the location of the workAs we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required Work schedules will consist of either 5 consecutive days followed by 2 days off or 6 consecutive days followed by 1 day off, with daily shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours (Shop specific)Union Position, benefits provided by CLAC#LI-NC1Additional InformationLedcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining.
