Position Summary

The Inventory Control Supervisor – Telecom is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory of telecom equipment, hardware, and materials across warehouses and field locations. This role ensures the availability and accountability of assets used in network deployments, installations, and service operations, while leading a team and implementing best practices for telecom inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily inventory control operations for BAU and Project material and lead inventory team members.

- Create, maintain, and partner with General Contractors to ensure proper procedures to track project material from issue, transfer, retrograde, and forecast.

- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and reconciliations for BAU, projects and warehouse project material.

- Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions for inventory issue to Projects in our local warehouse and coordinate for RFIs with General Contractors.

- Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, engineering, and construction Teams to transfer inventory to projects via validation of BOMs, Project Timeline, and Material Transfer Order to ensure no delays of projects execution.

- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of materials and products in the General Contractors Yard, Warehouse Inventory for BAU (20%) and Project (80%).

- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, systems, and policies to meet Ezee Fiber standards.

- Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements for BAU, Projects, and 3PL.

- Create a process to track screen and clean procedures between the ERP and Billing systems.

- Generate inventory reports and provide insights for planning and forecasting.

- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance; assist with scheduling and resource allocation.

- Monitor inventory KPIs and continuously identify areas for process improvement for inventory visibility.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Telecommunications, or related field preferred.

- 3+ years of inventory control experience, preferably in telecom or utility industries.

- 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse, logistics, or deployment environment.

- Familiarity with telecom equipment and deployment processes.

- Proficiency with inventory and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

- Ability to work across departments and with field operations teams.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs.

- Comfortable working in warehouse and field environments, occasionally outdoors or in varying conditions.

- Some travel to remote storage or job sites may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Telecom-related certifications or training (e.g., OSHA, Fiber Optics, R56 standards).

- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement principles.

- Strong leadership and organizational skills.

- Expertise in logistics, supply chain, and inventory optimization.

- Ability to collaborate across departments (Engineering, Procurement, Field Operations).

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
