Carpenter page is loaded **Carpenter**locationsRed Deer time typeFull time posted onPosted 6 Days Ago job requisition idREQ-2024.795 At Clark Builders, we build Exceptional Experiences Our remarkable team, made up of individuals with unique talents and perspectives, work together each and every day to deliver exceptional, successful projects and experiences for our clients across Western and Northern Canada through innovation and inspiration. **Position Description**: Clark Builders is hiring Carpenters to work on the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre starting in 2025 This role will be responsible for the safe construction of foundations and other concrete structures on a commercial site.**Reporting to:** Foreman or Superintendent**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Erect/install and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.* Builds footings, walls, column forms, slab forms, and stair forms and parapets.* Read and interpret drawings and/or receive instructions from a supervisor.* Carry out a variety of carpentry services (including backing, blocking, framing, installation and other general carpentry.* Installs precast units, framing systems sheathing, exterior trims, interior/exterior doors and hardware, windows, flooring, wall coverings, washroom accessories and architectural materials* Execute work with minimal supervision while working alongside a team and other sub-trades to complete projects.* Perform other construction related duties as assigned.* Maintaining a clean construction site.* Maintain a daily log of tasks and hazard assessment cards.* Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.* Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.**Skills and Knowledge:*** The physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.* The capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season.* The ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.* 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th year Apprenticeship training or Journeyperson certificate.* Must have concrete form work experience.**Qualifications:*** Experience working in commercial/industrial construction is considered an asset.* Valid first aid certificate an asset.* Valid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.* Competitive wages and vacation pay.* Opportunity to work overtime hours.* Employer RRSP Matching program.* Employee and Family Assistance (EFAP) program.* Comprehensive health and benefits plan.* Employee referral program – earn a cash bonus if the candidate you refer passes their 90-day probation.**Comments:**Environmental aspects (weather, heights, etc.) play an important role for this position since work is often outdoors.*Please note this is a safety sensitive position.Apply now for your exceptional career opportunityWe Build Exceptional ExperiencesOne of the top ten general contractors in Canada and part of the largest construction organization in North America, Clark Builders serves industrial, commercial and institutional market sectors.
