Packaging Technician (Manufacturing)
This position is responsible for operating, maintaining canning, bottling, and kegging lines to ensure our World Class beer is efficiently packaged, while always adhering to safety and sanitation standards at the Windsor location.
Responsibilities
- Operate, and provide support for, all bottling, canning, and kegging operations
- Cleaning and sanitation of equipment including CIP of bright beer tanks and fillers
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance on packaging equipment and end-of-day cleaning on all lines
- Operate the keg racker
- All work to be completed with an eye towards low TPO (Total Packaged Oxygen)
- Accurately record and report packaging data into OBeer as well as Smartsheet
- Work with the packaging supervisors to achieve all QC goals
- Work safely and demonstrate cooperation with co-workers
- Report any mechanical issues to packaging supervisors
- Ensures all packaging tasks are completed safely, accurately and on-time
- Have a passion for quality beer and quality workmanship
- Operate a forklift safely
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Follow all safety rules and wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required
- All other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Must have at least 2 years previous experience on a beverage packaging line. (brewery preferred)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Requires occasional weekend and/or evening work
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Qualifications
- Possess a mechanical aptitude to repair packaging equipment
- Works with direction, intention and a sense of urgency
- Must be serious about safety, quality and cleanliness
- Fit in with our passionate and hard-working team
Physical Demands & Working Conditions

- Exposure to hazards: Working in industrial environments poses risks such as exposure to chemicals, loud noise, moving machinery, and heavy equipment, necessitating adherence to safety guidelines and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Handling chemicals: Some roles involve handling chemicals and hazardous materials for manufacturing processes, requiring knowledge of safety protocols, proper handling techniques, and the use of protective gear such as gloves, goggles, or respirators.

- Teamwork and collaboration: Employees in these settings often work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to meet production targets, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the efficient operation of equipment and processes.
