Those who love a challenge and get excited at the prospect of collaborating with talented people to continuously improve and innovate on tasks both large and small.We are actively seeking a **Drilling** **Engineering Co-Op Student** to join our Lloydminster Conventional Drilling, Completion and Construction Team in Calgary. Reporting to the Drilling Engineer, this role is responsible for supporting drilling engineering activity for Strathcona’s Lloydminster Conventional assets. The role will work with drilling operations staff and the asset team to optimize the drilling plans, cost estimates, directional drilling and field coordination.This term will begin January 2026 and will be available for a 12+ month term.**Key Responsibilities:*** Daily monitoring and reporting of drilling activities.* Work closely with field operations staff to optimize running times.* Assist drilling engineer with day-to-day requirements as needed.* Project reviews and lookbacks.* Assisting Construction superintendent with survey plans, site placement and preliminary work.**Qualification Include:*** Enrolled in an Engineering Co-op or Internship program.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – adaptable to a wide range of personalities.* Thrive in a collaborative team setting, intrinsically motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive attitude.* Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.**Great things aren’t done by one person, they’re done by a team.**Strathcona is committed to developing a high-performance culture through collaboration, trust, and agility.
