Senior Strategy Manager - Device Protection and Repair

Description

The Device Protection and Repair team puts the customer at the forefront of our decision making processes, ensuring customers have options and journeys that meet their needs throughout their lifecycle as a TELUS customer; while growing revenues, churn mitigation and Likelihood to Recommend for our business.

As Senior Strategy Manager of Device Protection and Repair (Finance & Growth), you will support the marketing, sales performance & growth of our programs alongside the Device Protection Senior Product Manager. You will be integral to driving meaningful bottom line contribution by developing products, introducing initiatives and working closely with all channels to increase performance. Additionally, you will work closely with operational and finance strategy stakeholders to plan capital, financials, forecasts and product roadmaps.

Responsibilities

- Support and Drive Device Protection Products attach rate in all channels

- Grow our product’s EBITDA contributions while seeking out CAPEX and OPEX efficiencies

- Develop, track and present P&L sheets, key performance indicators, financial forecasts & sales targets across the portfolio

- Own post-sale device protection strategies and product churn mitigation strategies

- Own relevant marketing programs & GTM activities to drive adoption of the Device Protection program

- Work with all assisted and digital channels to support growth and address opportunities

- Work closely with our third party partner & participate in regular business reviews to ensure we remain aligned and tracking to program objectives

- Collaborate across the entire Device Services team including Protection and Repair on product road‑mapping, capital planning and business casing

Reporting Relationship

- You report to the Manager of Device Protection & Repair who is supported by the Director of Device Services and rolls up to the VP of Marketing, Brand and Product

- You will be part of a 5 person team and will partner with 20+ team members across Marketing, Digital, Channels, Mobile Klinik, Finance, Vendors and other teams

Qualifications

What YOU Bring:

- A proactive business‑owner mentality and can manage initiatives/projects effectively from beginning to end, including funding and timelines, workback schedules and stakeholder governance

- Experienced business acumen and an understanding of Profit & Loss levers, financial and sales forecasting and key performance measures

- Strong problem identification skills and outstanding ability to use analytics to distill insights that allow you to make thoughtful, strategic recommendation

- Effective communicator and can tell a compelling story in verbal and written form, including presentations across all levels of the organization

- You have great people skills and can work collaboratively in large cross‑functional teams with team members with diverse backgrounds

- You are resilient, flexible and adaptable; you appreciate that failure and setbacks are a natural way to learn and grow

- Keen ability to influence without authority and to drive action through ambiguity and change

- You understand how to build positive, win‑win, transparent external partnerships

Experience

- 5+ years experience in product or program management

- Strong understanding of Profit & Loss drivers, product finances and forecasting

- Presentation abilities and comfort interacting with all levels of the organization, as well as external business partners

- Bachelor’s degree or similar post‑secondary degree, MBA is an asset

- Partner/vendor management experience is considered an asset

- Wireless industry experience is considered an asset

Salary Range: $92,000-$138,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
