Position SummaryWe are seeking a Casual Clinical Dietitian at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC.Days of work: Monday to Friday, DaysShift times: 08:00 to 16:00This is a casual position. What will you work on?Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Clinical Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health. The Clinical Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader or designate by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program.The Clinical Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/client/resident care issues and menudevelopment. Golfers can take advantage of a season that traditionally runs from March until November and eight major courses within the North Okanagan area.The Vernon area is a haven for the outdoor enthusiast with ready access to mountains, lakes, rivers and provincial parks. Summer activities include hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, scuba diving, sailing, water skiing and fishing. Winter pursuits include alpine and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dogsledding and ice fishing. Located 22 km to the northeast of Vernon is Silver Star Mountain Resort, a world-class ski destination with 108 runs.Apply todayQualfications• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) [formerly College of Dietitian of British Columbia (CDBC)].• One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred.• Valid BC Driver’s License.
