Job Title: Commercial Insurance Advisor (Independent Business Unit)

Locations

Our office in Owen Sound is seeking a full-time Commercial Insurance Advisor to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

- Generate leads and referrals to build and maintain a pipeline of prospects
- Service ongoing client needs, advise on insurance matters, and conduct needs assessments
- Sell new policies and retain existing book of business
- Quote new business through outbound calls, letters, and walk-in clients
- Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy
- Prepare documentation for insurers and complete applications for clients
- Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
- Actively participate in training initiatives and community marketing initiatives

Requirements:

- High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
- Previous Commercial Insurance experience or at least two years of experience in Personal Insurance
- RIBO License or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pass a criminal and credit check
