Level 1 Bilingual IT Technician

About the Position
We are seeking a Level 1 Bilingual IT Technician to provide first-line technical support to users. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues and escalating more complex incidents to higher levels.
Main Responsibilities
User Support (On-site and Remote):
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to workstations, software, and peripherals
- Install, configure, and update applications and operating systems on workstations
- Configure and deploy new workstations, printers, and other IT equipment
- Maintain an inventory of equipment and software
Security and Maintenance:
- Apply necessary security updates and patches
- Ensure the smooth operation of network connections and access to IT resources
Documentation and Follow-up:
- Record and track support requests in the incident management system
- Create guides and procedures to improve user autonomy
Skills and Qualifications Required
- DEP, DEC, or equivalent certification in computer science or technical support
- Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
- Experience with remote support tools and ticket management systems
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Familiarity with Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012 R2
- Experience with Microsoft Intune
- Knowledge of CISCO IP phones
- Basic understanding of Oracle JD Edwards
- Excellent communication skills in French and English (oral and written)
- Strong customer service skills and patience when dealing with users
- Ability to multi-task and resolve issues effectively
