About the Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-time Accounting Technician to join our team. Fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin is required to communicate with clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in QuickBooks, and a thorough understanding of bookkeeping principles. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with tax filings, and supporting the overall financial operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial entries

- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice generation and payment processing

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

- Support the tax filing process by gathering necessary documentation and data

- Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and address financial inquiries

- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting activities

- Perform account analysis and reconciliations to ensure data integrity

- Generate and distribute various financial reports as requested by management

- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systemsAssist with audit preparation and provide support during audits

- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

Qualifications and Skills

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)

- 2-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles

- Proficiency in QuickBooks, with the ability to navigate and utilize advanced features

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations

- Experience with tax filing procedures and requirements

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

- Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems
