We’re looking for qualified Casual,Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Kootenay Street Village Nursing Care team in Cranbrook, BC. If you're a qualified LPN, and you are a strong team player, then we’d like to hear from you

The successful candidate will have a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors.

We're looking for someone who:

- Fosters a warm, friendly and caring environment for residents and co-workers.
- Has a passion for helping seniors live their best life.
- Ensures comprehensive care plans, tailored to the resident’s short and long term requirements, are developed, updated and regularly evaluated for effectiveness.
- Participates in decision-making relating to matters of health and safety, resident care, and staffing.
- Provides leadership and direction to staff involved in the provision of resident care by mentoring and role modeling, fostering and promoting new initiatives; interpreting, developing and implementing care related policies and procedures; seeks assistance from RN peers where appropriate.
- Provides direct nursing care, including administration of medications, medical treatments and procedures as per provincial regulations and established policies and procedures; consults with and/or takes direction from a RN where appropriate.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

- Must be physically capable to perform all the required tasks as outlined in the job description.
- Ensures that the Golden Life Management POLICIES AND PROCEDURES are practiced.
- Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
- Based on individual; cooperation, attitude, resident focus, team work, problem solving skills, and application of the Social Model of Care will impact a person's candidacy.
- Able to read and write English.
- Has taken Food Safe or other required courses.
- Must have First Aid.
- Must have the ability to be self-motivated for this position.
- As per OH&S (medical history/or requirements).
- Clear Criminal Record Check – Vulnerable Sector.
- Can provide a negative TB Screening test, and complete Immunization Records as outlined in theBC Centre for Disease Controlfor Health Care workers

Compensation: The wage schedule of $32.84-$41.87 per hour for this position currently falls under provincial wage-levelling.
