Position Status: Regular, Full-time (1.0 FTE)

EFW Radiology is currently seeking a Facilities Operator to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care

Role Overview:

The Facilities Operator will be assigned to a combination of the following functional areas. The Functional areas may be re‑assigned from time to time to support Facilities team members and the operational requirements of the Facilities department.

- Primarily perform general building maintenance and repairs that include, but are not limited to:

- Painting, drywall, millwork, flooring, tiling

- Basic carpentry, doors, trim and signage

- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs that include, but are not limited to:

- HVAC, chillers, hot water tanks, boilers, etc.

- Plumbing, electrical work

- Equipment monitoring

- Identifying maintenance risks and performing repairs.

- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.

- Identify maintenance risks on equipment.

- Purchase materials for work orders, as required, in accordance with EFW’s procurement policy.

- Collaborate with internal team members and external contractors to see a work order to completion.

- Record all maintenance updates and outcomes in the maintenance ticketing system.

- Be a brand ambassador when dealing with internal customers and external vendors.

- Identifying areas to improve systems and processes which impact how EFW facilities operate and their appearance.

- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.

- Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.

- Assist with queries.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Arrange and adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures as they relate to EFW, our patients and our employees.

- Undertake other related duties as assigned.

You have the following:

- High School Diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent

- Class 5 Power Engineering Certificate would be an asset

- Alberta Trade Certificate would be an asset

- Working knowledge of power hand tools and woodworking equipment (table saw, skill saw, drills, etc.) would be an asset.

- 3 years of experience with commercial buildings and new construction is required

- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans

- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding in various areas such as operations in property maintenance, commercial retail environment, technical services, HVAC asset or property facilities plumbing, electrical work, joinery, framing and drywall.

- Well‑organized with the ability to multi‑task and maintain high accuracy in detailed information.

- Motivated, self‑starter who can work independently and is a member of our dynamic team.

- Sound judgement and the ability to think quickly during emergencies.

- Professional demeanor and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

- Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in constructing or repairing commercial buildings or other structures.

- Awareness of OH&S policies and safe work procedures

- Motivated, self‑starter with the ability to work independently as well as a member of a dynamic team.

- Organized individual who can work under stress, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with all levels of EFW personnel.

Working Conditions:

- Position requires a vehicle and a valid driver’s license to perform work at all EFW clinic locations.

- May be required to work after or before regular clinic hours and weekends, adjusting hours based on service or project requirements.

- Repetitive motions, such as painting.

- Lifting to 22.7 kg regularly; up to 45 kg occasionally.

- May perform tasks in indoor or outdoor working conditions. May be required to execute tasks working at heights and confined spaces.

- May be exposed to a wide range of environmental conditions such as heat, cold, dust, noise, and fumes.
