The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a highly skilled Azure Systems Administrator to lead the design, automation, and optimization of our Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Center and Cloud Operations, this role will drive platform reliability, automation, and enablement, collaborating across teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. You will be a technical leader, championing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Bicep, Ansible and Azure DevOps and advancing our API management capabilities.

What your day looks like:

Platform Engineering & Automation

· Architect, implement, and automate Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Ansible, ARM templates)

· Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for infrastructure and application deployments

· Integrate monitoring, logging, and alerting into platform services (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel)

· Evaluate and introduce new tools to improve developer experience and platform reliability

API Management

· Design, deploy, and manage Azure API Management (APIM) solutions for secure, scalable, and reliable API delivery

· Collaborate with development teams to integrate APIs into business processes and ensure best practices for security and governance

Cloud Operations & Reliability

· Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for platform-related issues

· Define and enforce standards for infrastructure automation, security, and governance

· Ensure platform services meet performance, reliability, and security requirements (SLAs, SLOs, error budgets)

Security & Governance

· Implement policy-as-code, guardrails, and RBAC for Azure resources

· Manage identity, access provisioning, secrets, and compliance (Azure AD, Entra, Key Vault)

· Support vulnerability management, patching, and audit readiness

Collaboration & Enablement

· Partner with application, security, and business teams to deliver cloud-native solutions

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in Azure/cloud infrastructure, automation, or platform engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, security, APIM, identity).
- Cloud, infrastructure automation related experience is non negotiable for this role.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, ARM templates).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Advanced scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Solid understanding of cloud governance, policy-as-code, and security frameworks.
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident response.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: collaboration, stakeholder management, mentoring, and communication.
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $105,000 - $113,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
