Looking to get the most out of your upcoming internship?

Hatch is seeking a Transit Civil Engineering Student for an internship with interest in Linear Infrastructure & Facilities engineering starting January 2026 for an 8-month work term. Reporting to Transit, Linear Infrastructure & Facilities Engineers, you will support offices globally working from our Mississauga, ON head office.

As the successful candidate, you will:

- Be working as part of a design team, assisting with conceptual, preliminary and detailed design; site inspection; design calculations, report writing.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers and related disciplines as required to assist with project deliverables.
- Prepare design submissions and other technical documents.

You bring to the role:

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a Civil Design College Program.
- Relevant courses: Civil, Structural, Geotechnics, Utilities and Project Management are an asset.
- Knowledge of current technical engineering codes and practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Civil3D.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
- Problem solving skills and analytical abilities.
