Job Title: Audit & Risk Analyst (12 Month Term)

Responsible for executing internal audits and related projects to add value and improve the organization’s risk management, control, and governance processes. This includes evaluating the adequacy of financial, operational, business, and compliance processes, testing the design and effectiveness of controls, and recommending enhancements to the control framework and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the VP Audit & Risk Management and co-source internal audit partner in completing internal audits and related projects according to set terms of reference.
- Execute internal audit work independently and within budget.
- Prepare clear and concise audit work papers.
- Evaluate process and control deficiencies and develop remediation action plans.
- Identify operational performance improvements and provide recommendations.
- Write clear audit reports.
- Advise cross-functional teams on developing and modifying business processes and system enhancements affecting costs.
- Conduct reviews or tasks requested by the Audit Committee, CEO, or CFO, ensuring independence and objectivity.
- Maintain issue/recommendation summaries and ensure timely reporting.
- Assist in facilitating the company’s enterprise risk management program as needed.

Qualifications

- Degree in Finance or Accounting with 3-5 years of audit experience.
- CPA and/or CIA designation required; other professional designations (CISA, CRMA, CFE) are assets.
- Knowledge of auditing standards and best practices.
- Experience in risk assessments, audit planning, and operational audits.
- Operational experience in Agribusiness is an asset.
