We are seeking a Junior/Intermediate Drafter with 1-2 years of drafting experience who is eager to grow in the miscellaneous metals industry.

Job title: Drafter - Miscellaneous Metals

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: On-site (Mississauga, ON)

We are seeking a Junior/Intermediate Drafter with 1-2 years of drafting experience who is eager to grow in the miscellaneous metals industry. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate 2D/3D fabrication drawings for stairs, railings, and other steel components while learning directly from senior drafters and project team members. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and excited to expand their drafting skills in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce 2D/3D CAD drawings based on redlines, sketches, and architectural/structural plans

- Assist in preparing bills of materials and fabrication details

- Revise shop drawings based on feedback from senior drafters or project managers

- Coordinate with internal team members to support project goals

- Maintain drawing files, revisions, and project documentation

- Learn and support continuous improvement of drafting standards and templates

Required Experience & Skills

- 1-2 years drafting experience (manufacturing, steel, or construction environment preferred)

- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)

- Willingness to learn Tekla, Advance Steel, or similar platforms

- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings (basic to intermediate level)

- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to grow technical skills

- Good communication, team mindset, and time management
