Position: Senior HRIS Analyst - WorkdayLocation: MarkhamJob Description:An experienced and motivated Senior HR Systems Analyst is sought to help drive the enhancement, configuration, and optimization of Workday HCM modules. This role plays a key part in advancing HR technology capabilities and improving the employee experience across a large, diverse workforce that includes both unionized and non-unionized employees.Reporting to the Director of HR Systems and Optimization, the Senior HR Systems Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement scalable solutions, optimize system functionality, and align HR technology initiatives with organizational strategy. This role provides high visibility across senior business leaders, HR, IT, Payroll, Finance, and Operations teams, requiring exceptional collaboration and communication skills.This position follows a hybrid work model with regular in-office collaboration. Key Accountabilities: - HRIS Configuration & Implementation: Configure, implement, and enhance Workday modules such as Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, and Core HCM. Ensure solutions align with business strategy and collective bargaining requirements.- Collaboration & Process Improvement: Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and Finance teams to review and enhance employee lifecycle processes within Workday.- Continuous Improvement: Identify and deliver enhancements that simplify and elevate the Workday user experience.- Expertise & Knowledge Sharing: Stay current on Workday best practices, engage with Workday Community and user groups, and proactively identify opportunities to improve systems and self-service processes.Responsibilities: - Configure and enhance Workday components, including pay groups, wage grids, earning codes, memo codes, vacation rates, and retro adjustments.- Analyze downstream impacts of system changes across modules, reports, business processes, calculated fields, and security.- Document findings, configurations, and testing results while maintaining task tracking logs.- Develop and maintain technical specifications, test plans, process documentation, and training materials.- Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes, presenting proposed system changes and obtaining approvals.- Conduct knowledge transfers to Tier 2 support and maintain documentation for business continuity.- Partner with stakeholders to address system or process changes resulting from business needs or collective agreement updates.- Support system releases, upgrades, and validation testing while identifying new features to leverage for process improvements.- Perform data integrity audits and ensure accuracy across Workday and related HR systems.- Manage and resolve escalated ServiceNow tickets, contributing to the internal knowledge base.- Translate business requirements into scalable, technical solutions in collaboration with HR and IT teams.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related discipline- Minimum 5 years of HRIS experience with Workday, including configuration and support of multiple modules- Hands-on experience with Workday Canadian Payroll for unionized environments, including complex collective agreement configurations (counters, wage progression, seniority, etc.)- Advanced Excel skills with proficiency in formulas and data manipulation- Strong understanding of payroll operations, HR processes, and system integrations- Proven ability to troubleshoot end-user and interface issues effectively- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research abilities- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality- Self-starter with strong ownership and accountability from initiation to completion- Strong customer service orientation and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment- Outstanding time management, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and written)- Workday certifications are considered an assetPlease send your resume in Word format to Bronwyn Massey at bronwyn.massey@quantum-qtr.com.REFER A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000 For more details, click here.OUR VIRTUAL DOORS ARE OPEN We're also bringing the interviews to you by various web applications, virtually Contact us today for your next opportunity.
