Supply Chain Coordinator

Robert Half is looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will focus on managing and expanding key product lines within the steel industry while fostering strong client relationships. You will also collaborate with offshore offices to ensure effective communication and alignment on strategic objectives. Responsibilities:- Oversee supply chain processes for steel products, ensuring efficient management and coordination with the team.- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.- Build and strengthen relationships with customers to drive business growth and retention.- Identify and pursue opportunities to promote and develop new business initiatives.- Manage inventory levels to meet production and distribution needs while minimizing costs.- Track shipments and address any issues in transit to ensure on-time delivery.- Maintain open communication channels with international offices and internal departments to align on strategic goals.- Conduct research to explore new products and assess potential clients or avenues for expansion.- Organize and participate in regular business meetings with customers to discuss opportunities and market trends.- Visit clients to strengthen relationships and analyze emerging market demands.- Support management by preparing data reports, presentation materials, and executing tasks related to new projects.- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.- Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, production, customer service) to align supply chain activities with business objectives.- Proactively identify potential supply chain risks and work to mitigate them.- Assist in contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.- 2+ years experience in supply chain management or a related field, preferably within the steel or manufacturing industry.- Strong skills in using ERP and CRM systems to manage data and customer relationships.- Familiarity with Configure Price Quote (CPQ) tools and financial services platforms such as ADP.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster client and cross-departmental relationships.- Demonstrated ability to analyze markets and identify opportunities for business growth.- Proficiency in handling pricing, shipping, and other office functions.- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks and priorities.- Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and adapt to a dynamic work environment.- Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards is a plus.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
