VP/Director of Finance

Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. If you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you. What you get to do every day - Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures - Analyze monthly operating performance against budget - Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention - Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts - Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models - Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers - Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions - Oversee the preparation of all financial reports - Take ownership of insurance and risk management - Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance - Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives - Direct, review, and prepare financial planning and budget management functions - Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department - Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements - 10+ years of accounting and finance experience - CPA required with MBA (definite asset) - Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems - Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills - Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - Proficient in Microsoft Excel - Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
