Our Challenge
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support the complex migration of SharePoint 2016 sites to SharePoint Online by gathering business requirements and designing information architecture. This role plays a critical part in modernizing content management systems, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, standards, and long-term digital transformation goals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide stakeholder engagement, coordination, and support for all content management and migration activities across departments.
- Investigate, analyze, and coordinate IMT change impacts related to organizational restructuring, program relocations, and personnel movements, including Active Directory and file system security adjustments.
- Lead stakeholder consultations, facilitate meetings, and develop business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Create project and initiative documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical specifications.
- Escalate unresolved issues, risks, and provide options and recommendations to stakeholders and management.
- Oversee project execution to ensure scope, timelines, and deliverables adhere to IMT standards and best practices.
- Maintain project documentation, status updates, and communicate regularly within teams, leveraging SharePoint or other collaboration tools.
- Use project management methodologies and tools to coordinate resources, stakeholder engagement, and ensure effective project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance, recommendations, and support within shared IT services for the department.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on proof of concept or pilot implementations.
- Conduct reviews of new services and technology requests, assessing their operational impact and recommending remediation strategies.
Work Experience:
- 5 years of experience translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications within enterprise IT and content management environments.
- 5 years of experience leading technical teams in multiple IT project implementations in similarly sized and complex environments.
- 5 years of experience defining project scope and objectives collaboratively with business stakeholders.
- 5 years of requirements gathering from diverse departments and stakeholder groups.
- 5 years of experience managing complex SharePoint projects—including managed metadata, workflows, forms, and UI customization.
- 5 years supporting and developing Microsoft SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, and integrated content management systems.
- 5 years developing technical specifications for enterprise content management projects.
Nice to Have:
- 4 years analyzing process maps, data flow diagrams, and business descriptions to understand operational records.
- 3 years designing, developing, and deploying complex IT solutions.
- 4 years creating project documentation across diverse initiatives—strategic, process improvement, and IT projects.
- 3 years working within IT service management environments and supporting related applications.
- 4 years experience managing projects with shifting priorities, timelines, and changing requirements.
