CMM Operator

Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day operation of the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure the best quality product is delivered to a customer in a timely manner.

Terms:

Permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities:

1. Program the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using Camio Inspection software to complete dimensional inspection of completed product.
2. Prepare reports to describe studies and prepare documents and layouts.
3. Keep the equipment and the workstation clean at all times for the most accurate results.
4. Perform project work, while adhering to deadlines, as required.
5. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Experience operating Milling machine, Surface grinder, Drill press, Hand tools, and Precision instruments.
2. Ability to read a blueprint and GD&T interpretations.
3. Ability to use MS Word & Excel computer applications.
4. Strong organizational and workload planning skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
5. Previous experience operating a CMM/Portable measuring equipment is preferred.
6. Knowledge/experience in Polyworks, LK Metrology CAMIO Software is a definite asset.
