Our client in Calgary is looking for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join their finance team and support accurate, timely billing and collections. This role is ideal for someone who excels in customer communication, reconciliation work, and maintaining strong financial records in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Generate and issue customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
- Process customer payments, apply cash receipts, and resolve unapplied or misallocated payments.
- Monitor customer accounts, aging reports, and outstanding balances to support timely collections.
- Communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts, payment arrangements, and invoice inquiries.
- Perform AR reconciliations, including sub-ledger to general ledger matching.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, credit memos, and short payments.
- Prepare monthly AR reports and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate customer records in the accounting system and support system improvements.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure billing accuracy and prompt issue resolution.
