What you will be doing

- Monitor the implementation of environmental aspects of the project daily, under the direction of the Environmental Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all project requirements, including the project agreement, environmental assessment, and applicable environmental laws.
- Prepare reports summarizing environmental issues and deficiencies, along with corrective and preventative measures.
- Maintain and update the compliance table monthly.
- Liaise with the environmental team and construction contractor; attend meetings to provide updates to the client.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an Environmental or relevant discipline (environmental science, ecology, etc.).
- Minimum 5 years of experience conducting environmental inspections, monitoring, and compliance.
- Experience with the MTO Construction Administration and Inspection Task Manual 2005.
- Experience with major transit/infrastructure projects in Ontario.
- Knowledge of methods, approaches, and best management practices related to environmental inspections and ESC inspections.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team effectively.
