Overview
Job Title: Territory Manager – Transportation, Location: Nisku, Alberta. This role leads business development efforts in the Nisku area, with direct sale and rental of new and used heavy-duty transportation trucks and trailers. The Territory Manager will prospect for new business, build a strong client base, and identify opportunities through auctions, consignments, and market trends. Significant earning potential exists for someone who thrives in a performance-driven environment and has experience managing a territory and building long-term customer relationships.
What you will be doing
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, and relationship-building
- Lead the full sales cycle including quoting, negotiating, and closing deals
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding client needs and delivering solutions
- Stay informed on industry trends, market activity, and upcoming auctions
- Maintain accurate records including client profiles, sales documentation, and call reports
- Travel regularly within the assigned territory to meet with clients and grow market presence
What you must have
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in transportation, trucking, or logistics
- Proven success in territory management and business development
- Solid knowledge of transportation equipment and logistics industry trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Self-starter who can work independently and manage competing priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Class 5 driver’s license required; Class 1 considered an asset
- Must be eligible to travel internationally (valid passport or ability to obtain one)
Salary/Rate Range
$48,000.00 – $200,000.00
