High School Teacher (1.0 FTE - Maternity Leave)

We are seeking a passionate and talented High School Teacher to join our school for a one year maternity position starting November 15. The teaching schedule for this position will vary throughout the semester, with different class times each day. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as specific teaching hours will be assigned according to the semester timetable. As an integral part of our academic team, this High School Teacher will be part of a supportive team that greatly cares about creating an engaging and supportive school environment that actively seeks to develop our students’ learning and growth by integrating Christian perspectives into all aspects of teaching the BC curriculum.

We have exciting opportunities for individuals to join VCS as a Teacher on Call (TOC). These important roles support the school when there is a need for additional staff due to special events or teacher absences and are often opportunities for people to get familiar with our school and community before applying for more permanent roles within the school. Whether you are looking for part time hours or casual opportunities, wanting to gain further teaching experience or simply enjoy the variety of teaching at different schools in different grades and subjects, we would welcome your interest in joining our TOC team.

Salary: $300 per day ($42.86 per hour)

High School Educational Assistant (Full-time)

VCS endeavors to hire Educational Assistants who will support the unique abilities and disabilities of students from a Christian perspective. It is the expectation that Educational Assistants at VCS will be grounded in their Christian faith and committed to their own professional and spiritual growth through continuous learning and development. VCS is accepting applications for an educational assistant working with high school students. A full-time high school educational assistant works from 8:15 am - 4:15 pm Monday to Friday. The educational assistant is supervised by the Educational Support Services Coordinator and works with teachers and staff to support student learning.

High School Educational Assistant (EAOCs)

VCS is accepting applications for Educational Assistants on-calls working with high school students. The Educational Assistant is supervised by the Educational Support Services Coordinator and works with teachers to support student learning.

As a High School Educational Assistant, your key responsibilities include:

- Supporting students with note taking, executive functioning or other aids to ensure student success
- Implementing individual educational programs
- Providing support to teachers and school as needed
- Evaluating and maintaining records of student progress
- Discussing with team members any changes which may be made to a student’s individual program
- Participating in the community and life of the school

Elementary (K-7) Educational Assistants (On-Calls)

VCS is accepting applications for Educational Assistant on-calls working with elementary students. The Educational Assistant on-call is supervised by the Educational Support Services Coordinator and works with teachers to support student learning. Salary: $175 per day ($29.17 per hour)
