This is a hybrid role based out of Waterloo. Hybrid is 3 days a week onsite and 2 days a week remote.

Be a part of the exciting world of Digital Manufacturing SAP Digital Manufacturing enables innovations around analytics, resource scheduling, process manufacturing, machine data integration, edge computing, including Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence and Industrial Internet of Things (IoT). The solution is based on event driven microservice architecture involving open-source technologies, BTP, AWS, Azure Services.
SAP Digital Manufacturing is a strategic part of SAP Industry 4.0 solution. It is a powerful, enterprise-level, scalable, manufacturing business solution and enables global manufacturers to manage and control manufacturing and shop floor operations.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of automated test strategies for new features and services.
- Analyze and decompose complex systems to define efficient, high-value test coverage and testability improvements.
- Design, build, and evolve automation frameworks and quality tooling in partnership with developers and DevOps engineers.
- Integrate automated tests deeply into CI/CD pipelines to improve signal quality, stability, and deployment confidence.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, API, UI, end-to-end) that are maintainable and scalable.
- Troubleshoot and debug failures across services, infrastructure, and distributed cloud environments.
- Monitor and improve code quality using tools like SonarQube, Fortify, and code-coverage reporting.
- Collaborate with developers on testability, design decisions, and reliability concerns.
- Participate in on-call or developer-on-duty rotations to support operational excellence and customer experience.
About You

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of experience building or maintaining automated test frameworks and automated test suites.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium/WebDriver, JUnit/TestNG, JMeter, Postman, TOSCA).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD systems and experience integrating automated tests into pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud environments or distributed systems (Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar).
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence quality decisions across the team.
- Commitment to the full cloud software lifecycle: design, coding, testing, release, operations, and continuous improvement.
Assets
- Experience with Spring, Jetty, OData, SAPUI5, or modern web technologies.
- Knowledge of code scanning and quality tools (Sonar, Fortify).
- Experience with microservices, distributed tracing, or cloud-scale testing.
- Relevant industry certifications.

SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step towards demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 74,600 - 156,800 (CAD) CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance. Due to the nature of the role, which involves global interactions with SAP entities, as well as with employees and stakeholders in Canada, functional proficiency in English is required for positions based in the Quebec.
