Our Asset Integrity Engineers play a critical role in the safe, productive, and (regulatory) compliant operation of our x3 Pulp and Paper mills in Prince George, BC. In this position, you will bring your extensive experience to the forefront by supporting:

- Risk Based Inspections (RBI)
- Quality Assurance & Control
- Pressure Equipment Engineering
- Review and approval of equipment installations, repairs, and alterations
- Management of Change Process

This role involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert for the Management of Change involving fixed assets (Tanks, Pressure Equipment, and piping systems).

You will interface closely with Canfor Pulp Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams, where your demonstrated leadership and ability to influence without authority will be key. You will also share your expertise and mentor those early in their engineering careers.

RBI Responsibilities

- Ensure the integrity of the RBI database and IOWs
- Perform annual RBI audits
- Assist in developing inspection plans for static equipment
- Review plant changes for RBI compliance
- Participate in Plant Change Audits
- Conduct RBI training for employees
- Review major maintenance and capital budget proposals
- Develop preventive maintenance plans for static equipment
- Recommend repairs based on degradation history
- Collaborate with NDE companies to improve inspection techniques

QA/QC Responsibilities

- Maintain the QA/QC manual
- Approve pressure equipment installations and repairs
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements
- Train technical personnel (welders, pipefitters, inspectors, engineers, NDE)
- Support inspection technology development
- Develop and communicate engineering standards
- Lead welding inspections
- Liaise with BCSA boiler and gas branch

The salary range for this position is: $107,500 to $119,500.
