Job SummaryFraser Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and collegial Adult Infectious Diseases Specialist to join the dynamic Division of Infectious Diseases at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre (ARHCC). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing and diverse community, supporting acute inpatient care and expanding outpatient services, including outreach to regional programs. ARHCC is a 300-bed regional referral centre, serving a population of over 300,000 in the eastern Fraser Valley. The hospital hosts a wide range of medical and surgical specialties, along with a high-acuity medical unit, a regional cancer centre, and an established internal medicine residency program affiliated with the University of British Columbia.The successful candidate will join a collegial group of infectious disease physicians providing inpatient consultative services, outpatient clinic care, and supporting infection prevention and control. In addition, this role includes leadership in the expansion of the Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) program, with outreach service to Fraser East region. Key Responsibilities:Provide inpatient infectious diseases consultation services at ARHCCParticipate in outpatient infectious diseases clinics, including virtual and in-person visitsContribute to Fraser Health’s regional OPAT program, including outreach to Chilliwack General Hospital (CGH)Collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control team and Antimicrobial Stewardship ProgramEngage in teaching opportunities with UBC medical learnersParticipate in regional ID rounds and quality improvement initiatives Qualifications:Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in Internal MedicineSubspecialty certification in Infectious DiseasesEligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British ColumbiaDemonstrated commitment to patient-centered, team-based careFraser Health offers a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional development within one of the largest and fastest-growing health authorities in Canada.
