At Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre, we have an immediate opening for a **Marina and Recreation Attendant** If you are an enthusiastic and energetic individual that will assist in providing memorable and unique experiences, we want you

**What You Will Do**:

- Contribute to great guest experiences by bringing your personality to work and engaging with guests in a friendly customer-centric manner
- Build and maintain inclusive and professional relationships with co-workers and guests that promotes and strengthen a climate of cooperation, inclusivity and respect
- Ensure all property associated with the Marina are managed to a quality standard and notify appropriate party of any hazards.
- Ensure the non-motorized marina watercrafts are kept clean and well maintained at all times
- Dispense fuel and dispose of garbage and recycling appropriately
- Facilitate and promote recreational events/activities to guests while promoting the natural and cultural heritage of the region in an organized, fun, and dynamic manner
- Organize and oversee recreational activities for guests of all ages (i.e., games, sports, crafts, nature appreciation activities and theme nights)
- Ensure all recreational property and equipment are well maintained and facilitate pet services when needed

**What You Need to Succeed**:

- Experience in the hotel industry and/or working with all age groups in a recreational setting an asset
- Love of the outdoors and high level of knowledge on the local area
- Basic cash handling skills
- Computer savvy and experience in Microsoft Applications (Word/Excel)
- Positive, upbeat and have a passion for hospitality and guest service
- Able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
- Able to work flexible hours, including of evenings, weekends and holidays
