**Safety Technician Unionized Positions: This is a short-term contract position.**

**Must be eligible to sign on with the Carpenters Local 1256**
- **Duties and Responsibilities**:_
- Required to undertake a variety of tasks at elevated levels and should be comfortable performing job duties at such heights.
- Collect data on safety and overall health surroundings
- Conduct tests and measure hazards
- Evaluate equipment to ensure workers and managers adhere to government and onsite regulations
- Demonstrate proper use of safety equipment
- While on each shift responsible for: spark watch, bottle watch, safety watch
- Monitor air and assess hazards throughout shift
- Rescue when needed in emergency situations
- Record, maintain all health and safety records required from onsite regulations as well as from Sentry
- BSO training (preferred)
- Site Specific Orientation (preferred)
- WHMIS (preferred)
- Safety watch, bottle watch, spark watch, confined space (preferred)
- Driver License
- **Must be eligible to sign on with the Carpenters Local 1256**, cannot be part of any other Union
- Ability to pass a Police Record Check upon offer of hire
- Willing to work a variety of shifts - days, afternoons, nights, causal call in
- Available April 2024
- Contract: Start date, mid-April
