**SUMMARY OF POSITION**:
The incumbent will assure the timely and accurate preparation, submission of data and bookkeeping into the financial accounting systems and analyze, format, interpret and report a variety of other required financial and accounting information to General Manager / President for use in monitoring performance.

The position of Controller’s responsibilities will include:

- Posting A/R payments and updating bank rec to reflect current cash position required for weekly cash report
- Following up with A/P departments on late payments
- Preparation of weekly cash report reflecting current cash position for three accounts
- Salary and office payroll
- Bank rec and monthly closing of Global accounting system per recommended procedure
- Liaison with external accountants/auditors and financial institutions for corporate reporting
- Preparation of all year-end reports for payroll compliance (T4’s, etc.)
- Providing bookkeeping services for multiple companies and provide year-end information to accountant/auditor
- Coordinate software updates for accounting and payroll programs with IT contractor
- Coordinate changes to insurance (employee and fleet vehicle coverage)
- Benefits administrator
- Sustaining growth, maximizing savings, cost effectiveness, revenue and growth
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the annual budget and operating plans and monitors variances against this budget.
- Provides and implements process improvements to create efficiencies
- System administration, including some training of end users, upgrades and problem resolution
- Advise GM on the financial implications of various business activities

Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to include strong organizational skills, thorough, detail-oriented and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Also, has the ability to analyze information and evaluate results to recommend the best solution and solve problems.

A leader with a positive attitude contributing to the overall team effort and company goals.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
Bachelor’s degree required, minimum (5) years Accounting experience and three (3) years Controller experience and actively pursues ongoing skill enhancement. Fluency in English is required. CPA Designation preferred but not mandatory.

Experience in manufacturing, maintenance and/or motor background finance is an asset. Proficiency in Power Point, Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Pay is negotiable based on qualifications, experience including benefits and vacation pay.
