ZYN The Wine Market/ZYN.ca is a locally owned retail and online liquor store. We have a solid in-store and online retail presence and are looking for full-time in-store Sales Associates.
The position would offer up to 40 hours per week on a regular weekly schedule. Applicants must have WSET Level 2 and at least two years of wine, beer and spirits knowledge/experience in a retail setting, excellent communication skills, and be able to lift a 40lb case.
**Duties**:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers in finding products and making purchasing decisions
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for cash transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed
- Answer customer inquiries and provide accurate information about products
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
**Requirements**:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Proficient in operating a POS system for cash handling and transactions
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to sell products effectively and meet sales targets
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating discounts or change
- Experience in Word, Excel, Adobe are necessary. Global Till and Shopify skills an asset.
