**Title**: Research Analyst, Indigenizing Harm Reduction Study
**Salary**: $64,972 - $81,215 - $89,337 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Term until December 31, 2025
**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week from 8:30am-4:30pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
**Location**: West Vancouver office location on the Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy. Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after October 2024.

**About the role**
As Research Analyst, Indigenizing Harm Reduction Study you will engage with First Nations communities across the province, this work will enhance harm reduction initiatives, assess the effectiveness of community-led interventions to reduce harm and promote healing, and determine wise practices in First Nations approaches to harm reduction. The Indigenizing Harm Reduction (IHR) Study is a multi-stakeholder research study that aims to develop a Nation-led, community-driven, and wholistic model of harm reduction for substance use that is adaptable to the specific cultural and contextual needs of BC First Nations communities. Occasional travel within BC will be required in this role.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- A Bachelor’s Degree with a specialization in Public Health, Public Policy, Health Information Management/Sciences, Research Methods or Indigenous Governance, plus 3-5 years of experience in research, analysis, grant writing, multi-jurisdictional partnerships, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience; a Master’s degree would be an asset
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience working with First Nations/Indigenous people in health is an asset
- Knowledge of the OCAP® Principles, Indigenous research methods, and ethics processes

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.

We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
