**Material Planner**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to our Vice President of Operations, our Materials/Production Planner plays a pivotal role within the manufacturing environment, responsible for coordinating and optimizing the flow of materials and production activities to meet production schedules efficiently. This role involves managing the supply chain of materials, scheduling production orders, and ensuring that resources are utilized effectively to achieve production targets while maintaining quality standards and minimizing costs.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan and prepare production schedules dictated by demand
- Utilize production specifications and plant capacity data to plan required production volumes while maximizing efficiencies within the plant
- Plan and order raw materials
- Manage off site processing that lead to finished goods within our facility
- Prepare an attend Production schedule meetings
- Maintain safety stock calculations to ensure consistent customer supply and ensure that inventory levels do not exceed max stock levels and/or manage out of stock situation.
- Coordinate and cooperate with Purchasing on third party -produced or processed to ensure adequate supply
- Collaborate for implementing end to end supply chain processes

**EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- Post secondary education in a related field, with 3+ years in a supply chain and or production scheduling.
- APIC’s certified or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of product quality standards and the importance of your activities in achieving, maintaining, and improving quality, including customer requirements and the associated risks to customers of non-conforming products.
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with people at ALL levels of business
- Positive “let’s do it “attitude
- Ability to work in and contribute to a team building environment
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
