Reporting to the Manager of Special Education, Inclusion and Equity, the Behaviour Analysts will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team that provides student support and professional development to school staff with respect to applied behaviour analysis (ABA) practice, behavioural support strategies, functional behaviour assessments, behaviour support plans, and safe intervention plans.
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
Provide direct support and coach school teams in conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing behaviour support plans, and safe intervention plans.
Develop and support the implementation of comprehensive intervention plans for students from K to 12 with a spectrum of behaviours who have been either formally identified or unidentified.
Develop appropriate data collection techniques to monitor student progress.
Develop an in-depth understanding of contextual factors and contributing variables for student behaviour.
Facilitate communication between interdisciplinary team, including staff, parents/guardians, and/or community agencies.
Provide programming support and data analysis for embedded special education programs and classrooms from K to 12
Collect, summarize and analyze data related to the implementation of strategies, behaviour support plans, and safe intervention plans that may be communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
Model appropriate behavioural strategies for school-based staff
Participate in debrief sessions with staff and students

**Qualifications**:
Masters Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Applied Disability Studies, or Developmental Disabilities
Registered with the College of Psychology and Behaviour Analysts (as of July 1st, 2024) or Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) - Include certification number
Maintain registration and eligibility for autonomous practice with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts
Minimum two (2) years experience designing and implementing applied behaviour analytic programming for children and youth with challenging or at risk behaviour

**Skills**:Knowledge of the function and delivery of a functional behavioural assessment, including specific function-based behavioural assessments and interviews
Knowledge of the purpose and delivery of a range of behavioural assessment and data collection methods
Knowledge of the synthesis and analysis of data in support of behavioural programming
Knowledge and experience in implementing positive behaviour strategies and supports within a tiered intervention model
Knowledge and evaluation of evidence-based practices in behaviour analysis
Knowledge in field of derived, arbitrary, and non-equivalence relations, and psychological flexibility
Knowledge and experience working within a multidisciplinary team
Training in Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) or equivalent de-escalation methods
A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
