**_ Your Contributions to the Organization will be_**:
- Advising and educating on EH&S matters and share best practices
- Helping create EH&S plans to ensure conformance with regulatory and company requirements
- Through education, training and a “roll-up the sleeves” approach, drive the understanding and implementation of the Cardinal Health EH&S Management System
- Developing business unit specific EH&S processes and procedures in support of company-wide initiatives
- Monitoring EH&S performance metrics and report on progress
- Supporting initiatives to eliminate hazards and reduce or eliminate risks and drive continuous EH&S performance improvement
- Collaborating with business leaders to coordinate and implement actions and activities to minimize and manage workplace accident claims and to contain and control associated costs. Assist with return to work plans and assessments
- Owning the Worker’s Compensation claim management process (WSIB & WCB)
- Actively participate in the investigation of significant EH&S incidents and ensure timely and complete implementation of corrective actions
- Acting as a key communication channel for ensuring timely communication of significant facility activities and events
- Developing EH&S training tools and materials, and deliver to targeted audiences. Help drive consistency in training across sites in Canada
- Lead Emergency Response plans and support Business Continuity Plans
- Conducting investigations relating to EH&S or security issues and roll-out action plans as required
- Lead Joint Health & Safety committee meetings and support teams with action items (for Ontario and Western sites)
**_ This Job might be for you if have:_**
- A completed Bachelor's degree in related field
- Possess a minimum of 2 years EH&S experience in a fast-paced Distribution or Manufacturing environment
- A substantive knowledge of Provincial EH&S regulations and guidelines
- Experience in managing Workers’ Compensation claims to contain and control costs (WSIB for Ontario and WCB for Western Provinces)
- Solid experience with facilitating training/awareness to various stakeholders
- Strong familiarity, understanding and experience in EH&S management systems and their successful implementation
- General investigative skills and experience (i.e. interviewing, fact finding, documentation)
- Working knowledge of Security risk assessment and Systems (Access, Video, Intrusion)
- Professional certification in safety (CSP), an asset

- Must be resourceful, self-directed and able to work independently.
- Must have sound judgment, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and not be afraid of “rolling up the sleeves” to develop and deliver practical solutions.
- Must be able to clearly and succinctly communicate, market and sell practical EH&S solutions to all levels of business/regional and facility personnel.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be flexible and creative in developing solutions that deliver results.
Travel time is ~10-20%.
