**Summary of responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager, Child and Youth Mental Health Services, the Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Day Treatment Program and provides supervision, guidance, and oversight to assigned Day Treatment staff. Under the clinical supervision of the Manager, Child and Youth Mental Health Services, the Supervisor coordinates the delivery of quality clinical and support services in the Day Treatment program. The Supervisor will support the day-to-day operations including facilitating appropriate staffing, supporting the development and implementation of policies, procedures, training, and standard operating procedures. The Supervisor oversees the clinical use of the Client Record Management System (CRMS) in collaboration with the Manager and Technical Support Specialist. The Supervisor works collaboratively with other internal and external community programs as required to support quality services for clients across the system. The Supervisor will represent CAMHS in special projects such as accreditation preparation and community committees as needed.

**Requirements of the job**:

- Minimum 2-year College Diploma in human services field (Nursing, Social Work, Counselling etc.)
- 5 years’ experience in counselling/therapy with child/youth and/or adults and families experiencing substance use/addiction, mental health and/or concurrent disorder issues
- Familiarity with key legislation such as the Ontario Mental Health Act
- Knowledge of systemic issues affecting clients in the program and their families
- Demonstrated clinical and administrative leadership skills
- Ability to hire, train, supervise and retain qualified staff
- Ability to prioritize needs and organize work efficiently
- Ability to lead and coordinate a work team
- Ability to work independently
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to prioritize needs, be flexible and organize work efficiently
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRMS
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable/regular means of transportation
- NVCI certification
- Proficiency in oral and written English

- Experience with SNAP (Stop Now and Plan)
- Knowledge and experience with FIT (Feedback Informed Treatment)
- Trained in TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention)
- Supervisory experience
- Registration with a College that is authorized to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy
- Bachelor’s Degree in human services field
