SCOPE OF JOB
We are seeking a Controller to work closely with the Finance Director in the analysis, budgeting, forecasting and preparing of financial reports. You will be responsible for directing and managing the company's accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining finance and accounting principles, practices, and procedures as well as the preparation of financial statements and reporting to top management and externally. The Controller also maintains the company's financial systems and implements changes as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Budgeting and forecasting and liaisons with Vietnam head office team.
- Prepare, analyze and present monthly, quarterly and annual operating results for each department.
- Work with operations to define, measure, analyze, improve and control current processes which impact customer quality and influence internal operating efficiency.
- Preparation and Review of monthly cash flow projections with commentary submission to VN
- Provide strategic analysis as required to drive improved decision making.
- Work with external auditors, audit committee and Board of Directors.
- Prepare and present financial information for quarterly and annual reports.
- Manage foreign exchange transactions.
- Work with the sales team on product pricing, costing and margins.
- Calculate monthly Sales KPI Bonuses & Commission Payments in conjunction with Sales & Accounting Team
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
- Implementation and management of internal controls with respect to financial policies, processes and procedures.
- Provide advice and guidance on all financial related matters including financial systems, record keeping, analysis, and reporting.
- Coordinate the year-end audit and preparation of audited financial statements.
- Coordinate all other customer and government audits.
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements and external reporting to financial institutions, ensuring that all reporting requirements are met.
- Generation of reports of performance against budgets.
- Support new systems or project selections and implementation from a strategic finance and internal control perspective.
- Promote and maintain positive corporate relations with the financial community.
- With input from the COO and Director of Finance, responsible for the formulation of, procedures and controls.
- Hiring, training, mentoring and supervising financial staff.
- Other related duties and required or assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
- 5-10 years of progressive work experience in finance and accounting with 1-3 years of managerial experience working in a similar role(s) in accounting areas.
- University degree in Business/Accounting, with advanced degree or professional accounting designation (such as CA, CPA, CGA, CMA) preferred.
- Ability to speak and write Vietnamese is required.
