**Job Overview**:
We're seeking a dedicated Coordinator for our Supported Independent Living program, to lead our dynamic team in delivering exceptional programming and services to autistic individuals. As the backbone of the program, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, guide our community support workers, and ensure our participants reach their goals. **Responsibilities**:
- Maximize resources by ensuring staff are allocated equitably and effectively across participants.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of community support workers to ensure high-quality support services.
- Ensure the Community Support Workers (CSW) regularly communicates with participants and families regarding day-to-day needs, logistics, and pertinent programming information.
- Regularly communicate overall program information to all participants and families
- Create daily scheduling for CSW across locations, booking substitutes when required.
- Ensure participant records are accurate and up to date with all progress recorded in the Centre database.
- Coach the CSW and support initial and ongoing training for all staff, ensuring effective implementation of person-centered active support (PCAS) and neurodiversity affirming practices.
- Collaborate with the CSWs to ensure the individual’s and/or the family’s priorities are met during daily programming.
- Contribute to performance evaluations and performance management for staff.
- Ensure OHS compliance across sites, provide related community safety training for staff and participants and ensure adherence to abuse protocols and related requirements.
- Report risk management issues to Supervisor.
- Manage the program logistics including purchasing materials, assigning technology, and coordinating the development of the participant ISPs.
- Coordinate participant and staffing schedules including scheduling regular family meetings.
**Qualifications**:
- 3 years of experience working with people with autism and 1 year in a leadership role.
- Knowledge and understanding of person-centered practices including self-determination.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills and the ability to lead in a team environment.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and training.
- Reliability and strong work ethic, with the ability to consistently meet expectations.
- Adaptability to changing circumstances and environments.
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Clear Police Information check, Clean Intervention Record check and valid First Aid with CPR.
**Hours of work**:
- 37.5 hours per week
- 7.5-hour workdays
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am -5:00 pm.
- A flexible schedule may be required, with the potential for evening/weekend work.
**Location**:
- Coordinator will primarily work from the office but will also support staff working in varying environments including in participant homes as well as out in the community.
- This position requires travel within Edmonton and surrounding areas.
- A vehicle is required.
**Compensation, Benefits & Perks**:
