**Responsibilities**
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensuring that the college complies with all relevant provincial and federal regulations governing Ontario Career Colleges, education, and related fields. This includes staying up-to-date with changes in regulations and adjusting college policies and procedures accordingly.
- **Policy Development and Implementation**: Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. This involves drafting and updating policies related to admissions, student conduct, academic standards, financial aid, etc.
- **Staff Training and Development**: Providing training to college staff on compliance-related matters to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities in maintaining compliance with regulations and policies.
- **Audit and Monitoring**: Conducting regular internal audits and monitoring activities to assess compliance with established policies and procedures. This may involve reviewing student records, financial documents, and operational processes to identify areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions.
- **Liaison with Regulatory Bodies**: Serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, and other external stakeholders. This includes facilitating inspections, responding to inquiries, and ensuring that the college meets the requirements for licensing and accreditation.
- **Risk Management**: Identifying potential risks to the college related to compliance issues and developing strategies to mitigate those risks. This may involve conducting risk assessments, implementing controls, and developing contingency plans.
- **Ethical Standards and Integrity**: Promoting a culture of ethical behavior and integrity throughout the college community. This includes fostering awareness of ethical standards among staff and students and addressing any instances of misconduct or non-compliance.
- **Record Keeping and Reporting**: Maintaining accurate records of compliance activities, including audits, training sessions, and communications with regulatory bodies. Additionally, preparing and submitting reports to regulatory agencies as required by law.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Continuously evaluating and improving compliance processes and procedures to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. This may involve gathering feedback from stakeholders, benchmarking against industry standards, and implementing best practices.
- **Conflict Resolution**: Resolving conflicts and disputes related to compliance issues, both internally among staff members and externally with regulatory agencies or other stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in Ontario domestic student compliance within the education sector.
- In-depth knowledge of provincial compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Results-oriented mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive positive outcomes.
