**Position Title**: Academic Program Manager

**Status**: FT Admin (Temp) 1-year contract

**Salary**: $75,378 - $94,222

**What you will do**:
Under the general direction of the Associate Dean, Liberal Studies, the Academic Program Manager (APM) provides academic and administrative leadership to a portfolio of programs in collaboration with the Associate Deans. The APM has oversight and directs the development and implementation of Faculty-based academic and student success initiatives such as professor and support staff recruitment and retention, student retention and success, strategic enrolment management, academic operations, and integrity of programming.

The APM is responsible for daily operating matters and operational planning / management within the Faculty ensuring that the semester-to-semester goals of the Faculty are met. As part of the APM’s operational oversight, they will have part time support staff and professors as direct reports.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supports Associate Deans with human resource management required to facilitate academic activity
- Liaises with the Scheduling team on the development of timetables
- Supports Associate Deans with the hiring of new and returning employees to ensure continuity of programming
- Collaboratively leads student retention initiatives in the Faculty with appropriate stakeholder groups
- Supports Associate Deans in resolving student-related conduct and academic performance issues
- Manages processes that support the strategic direction of the institution and the Faculty to ensure integrity and quality assurance
- Collaboratively manages recruitment, marketing, and outreach initiatives within FLAS
- Analyzes data to support strategies and recommendations that inform plans of action as appropriate
