**Responsibilities**
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Prepare budgets and consolidate financial data, recommend plans
- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
- Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development
- Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies
- Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
- Data entry and bookkeeping responsibilities
- Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity
- Complies with federal and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management

**Required skills and qualifications**
- Ten or more years of relevant experience in a senior-level accounting role
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or related field
- Professional certification, CPA (certified public accountant)
- Strong understanding of financial data analysis
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
- Exemplary history of financial project management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
