**Your opportunity**:
The Centre for Student Engagement at the University of Toronto Mississauga is committed to holistic student learning and development. Informed by research and assessment, our campus & community based co-curricular programs, services and courses promote access to post-secondary education, transition into university, student engagement and community engaged learning.

The Community Engaged Learning and Partnership Coordinator will work with a team of university staff, faculty, and students to support community-based programming and the growing community engaged learning portfolio in the Centre for Student Engagement. This role will specifically oversee the growth of the Social Innovation Program, Alternative Reading Week and Civic programs. This position will also be responsible for building and maintaining partnership with the community to ensure community organizations are able to explore innovative ways to collaborate with the Centre for Student Engagement. This role will oversee the strategic framework for all volunteers in the Centre for Student Engagement to ensure the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers aligns with the departments mission and vision for community engaged learning, alongside other professional staff who oversee community-based programs in the department.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Planning and implementing components of curricular and/or co-curricular programs and activities
- Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives
- Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Develop strategies that maximize outreach to students
- Training and coaching student life staff and student leaders
- Overseeing the Volunteer Working Group within the Centre for Student Engagement toimplement a strategic plan for volunteer engagement

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, Science or related discipline, or acceptable combination of equivalent education and/or experience
- Minimum five (5) years related experience in student services (combination of professional and para-professional experience is acceptable) with demonstrated experience at the post-secondary level or within community organizations
- Experience in volunteer recruitment, coordination and orientation
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training for students or volunteers
- Experience in programming for youth or post-secondary student populations
- Demonstrated experience leading the management of large events
- Experience working in collaborative initiatives with multiple partners, including community organizations
- Experience planning and promoting events in a university setting
- Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated exceptional relationship-building and stewardship skills
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices of community-engaged learning
- Demonstrated commitment to anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice
- Demonstrated understanding of student development theory; more specifically experiential learning theory in the design, implementation and assessment of programming
- Able to work collaboratively and collegially
