Heartland Housing Foundation serves over 900 households in Fort Saskatchewan & Strathcona County as a not-for-profit housing management body and the administrators for provincially funded rent supplement programs. We operate 12 properties, including affordable lodges, rent-geared-to-income seniors housing, and near market housing for all ages.

**Hours**
- 3:30pm - 12:00am
- 8 hours per shift
- 56 hours every 2 weeks
- 4 days on 4 days off rotation schedule, including weekends and holidays
**Pay**
- Competitive pay, starting at **$19.08 per hour**:
- Shift differentials and shift premiums are available based on your scheduled shifts and hours

**Position Overview**
Join our team as a Kitchen Aide - Evenings In this role, you'll tackle daily cleaning tasks in the kitchen, dining area, and dishes, ensuring top-notch hygiene standards are met. You'll also lend a hand to the Chef by helping with meal prep, serving and making sure everything runs smoothly in the kitchen and dining room. **Responsibilities**
- **Kitchen/Dining Room Cleaning**_
- **Daily Cleaning and Sanitizing**: Perform sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, and polishing in kitchen, cooler, storage, dining rooms, and other areas.
- **Meal Cleanup**: Assist in post-meal cleanup, including clearing dishes and retrieving items from dining rooms.
- **Dish Cleaning**: Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining room dishes daily.
- **Food Services Operations**_
- **Assist in Meal Preparation**: Aid Chef, Cook, and/or Baker in food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, stirring, cooking, and serving.
- **Communication and Coordination**: Actively communicate with kitchen staff regarding daily operations, food preparation, equipment issues, and supply needs.
- **Health, Safety, and Environmental Stewardship**_
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- **Cleanliness and Hygiene**: Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, adhering to health standards at all times.
**Requirements**:
- High School Diploma is preferred
- One (1) year of previous experience in housekeeping, custodial, dishwashing, etc. environment is preferred
- Completion of a current and acceptable criminal records check for the vulnerable sector as required by the Protection for Persons in Care Act and the Accommodation Standards and Licensing Act is mandatory
- Attainment of a Food Safety Certificate is required
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and internet usage is required
- First Aid and CPR certification is required or must be attained soon after hire
