This position is located 10 minutes east Cross Iron Mills, 20 minutes from Airdrie and Northwest Calgary.

We are seeking a **part-time yard maintenance person** to join our team to keep our facilities tidy and functional. They will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance around our yard and main office. This will be a part-time position of 2-3 days per week.

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Maintain property surrounding office and shop, including weed and litter control
- Operate grounds-keeping power equipment and maintain external property
- Maintains outside grounds (removes snow, ice, and debris, sprays and removes weeds, sweeps and cleans gutters)
- Use mowers, weed wackers, and common hand tools to trim grass, edge lawn areas, and maintain nearby plants and foliage
- Operate and move equipment as needed
- Prepare, paint and decorate interior and exterior surfaces as required
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)

**Who you are**:

- Experience in building and property maintenance
- Experience operating heavy equipment and machinery
- Ability to perform small repairs and light construction
- Ability to pinpoint problems and create solutions
- Strong attention to detail
- Time management and project management skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb
- Ability to remain standing for long periods and to bending, twist, push, pull and carry equipment and supplies
- Familiar with common landscaping equipment
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually
- Adheres to all health and safety guidelines
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Regular full time shifts are Monday to Friday. Compensation will be based on experience. We look forward to hearing from you
