**Contract Full Time - End Date December 31, 2024**

**Salary Range: Band 7 Non Union
- $86,443 to $108,052 per annum**

**Work mode: On Site**

**Location: 1126 Fewster Drive, Mississauga ON, along with various Community Recyling Centers locations as required**

**Hours of work: 35 hours per week;**

**Week 1 (31 Hours of Work): Mon-Tues: 7AM-4PM; Wed: 7:30AM-3:30PM; Thurs:Off; Sun: 7AM-4PM;**

**Week 2 (39 Hours): Mon-Wed: 7AM-4PM; Thurs: 7:30AM-3:30PM; Sun: 7AM-4PM**

**Reports To**:Supervisor, CRC Platform Operations

**What you will do in this role**:

- Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, discipline and terminate employees (In accordance with the collective agreement where applicable)
- Promote collaboration among colleagues and employees
- Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Community Recycling Centres
- Organize and direct work activities to meet the needs of our residential disposal requirements
- Assign, schedule and supervise the day to day activities of the operations bargaining staff
- Perform a variety of administrative functions including reviewing/approving time sheets and processing delivery tickets
- Schedule bargaining employees to ensure safe adequate staffing levels are met at the Waste Facilities
- Dispatching the coordination of the transportation schedules tracking vehicles and equipment, recording other important information
- Order supplies, materials and equipment for work activities and arrange the timely delivery of same.
- Organizing the delivers of waste materials for the daily assignments of Community Recycling Centre Haulage Operators
- Oversee the safe operations, security and maintenance of all vehicles, equipment and buildings
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with applicable legislation (Environmental, Safety and Labour) and take action as required when contraventions are identified
- Perform and document regular site safety audits
- Ensuring buildings are up to date in maintenance and repairs
- Participate on the Region’s Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Provide the Supervisor with input into the annual operating budget. Monitor adherence to the budget once approved
- Respond and document all general public concerns and apprise supervisor of same
- Assign and monitor service contracts with external vendors
- Perform other duties as required

**What we require**:

- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (construction, environmental studies)
- Five (5) years’ of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Demonstrated leadership skills/ previous experience leading a team
- Strong knowledge of Waste Management operations and maintenance
- Understanding of applicable legislation, regulations and industry standards
- Experienced in transportation industry including road construction and deliveries
- Must have ‘DZ’ driver’s license in good standing within Ontario

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Proficient computer skills using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Polished communication skills both written and oral
- Excellent problem solver who demonstrates superior public relations abilities
- Administrative and financial experience related to staffing, budgets and materials
- Organized with strong time management skills and the ability to adapt and prioritize your work
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
