**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Kryton International, a highly respected and successful world innovator in concrete waterproofing and durability solutions, is seeking an additional member of their R&D Technical Department. We are looking for a new RESEARCH CENTER TECHNICIAN I. We are seeking a high-performing Research Center Technician who can help us with research, testing, and other laboratory duties.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**

The Research Center Technician brings outstanding attention to detail and analytical thinking skills in performing laboratory duties. You must be physically able to efficiently perform the required laboratory tasks and have the tenacity and perseverance to succeed despite obstacles and setbacks. The Research Center Technician must have the ability to conduct research and have excellent time management skills.

**KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Research Center Technician I is an important role within the R&D team. This role encompasses a broad range of duties and responsibilities, including research, testing, and other laboratory duties. You are responsible for learning and executing standard test methods for the plastic and hardened properties of concrete and mortars. You will be responsible for testing regular production samples as part of the company's quality control and will participate in the department's QC-related activities. You must be able to complete test results analysis and reporting and source materials and equipment when required.

**THE COMPANY**

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting preferably related to a construction lab or construction field setting
- Education: A diploma in Civil/Chemical Engineering Technology. A university degree with a major in Civil/Chemistry is an asset.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Careful attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to work without close supervision - takes initiative, is responsible, accountable and self-managed
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Have the tenacity and perseverance to succeed despite obstacles and setbacks.
- Knowledge and proficiency in computer software and hardware sufficient to perform the job
- Ability to follow defined procedures and document measurements in the laboratory
- Ability to conduct research
- Must be physically able to efficiently perform the required laboratory tasks
