Job Summary: The Kitchen Helper/ Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. The Kitchen Helper/ Dishwasher also assists with receiving and storing food deliveries and ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked with supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and cleaning equipment
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or preparing salads
- Receive and store food deliveries and rotate inventory
- Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing supplies in storage areas
- Remove trash and garbage from the kitchen and take it to the appropriate disposal area
- Adhere to sanitation and safety standards to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a dishwasher or kitchen helper preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach overhead
- Must be able to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
