**Position**:
Visual Defence is currently seeking a roads specialist to provide expert guidance and consultation for an ongoing project. The consultant will be responsible for creating dynamic solutions to various routing and constraint-based problems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting research, information gathering, problem specification and refinement.
- Hands-on development and testing of customized vehicles routing and demand optimization algorithms for several specific real-world situations.
- Developing vehicles routing simulations and evaluating algorithms’ performance.
- Provide guidance, support and documentation as needed to our R&D division, ensuring the delivery of a practical solution that generates tangible value for our clients.

**Qualifications & Competencies**
- Experience in transportation and vehicle routing problems.
- Proficiency in Google's OR-Tools or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ experience.
- Strong knowledge of Python (preferable) or C++.
- Ability to develop optimized routing solutions for diverse scenarios and constraints.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with GIS is a plus.
