**Job Summary**:
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement and administer inspection, monitoring and asset management programs for the City's stormwater system infrastructure (e.g. storm pipes, ponds, underground storage, etc.).
- Develop, implement and maintain a database(s) for the inventory and management of the City's stormwater management assets.
- Prioritize the maintenance and capital improvements for stormwater infrastructure and provide input to the Manager, Stormwater Assets & Programming in preparation of the 10-year Capital Budget and Forecast.
- Coordinate the programming of stormwater infrastructure inspection and maintenance works with Works Operations Maintenance staff.
- Provide storm drainage expertise in the preparation and review of reports and analysis of data related to storm drainage projects and water resources related studies being carried out internally and externally.
- Undertake, review and manage consultants on detailed studies, modeling and design tasks associated with the management of the City's stormwater assets, including Municipal Class EA and water resources/environmental related studies to ensure that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide specialized engineering input as required on matters related to storm drainage issues and policies and assist with the development and update of stormwater policies, standards and programs.
- Keep current of new asset management techniques, technologies and construction procedures in the advancement of stormwater infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance to technologist staff and/or students and assist with their hiring and training as required.
- Liaise with staff, consultants and public in response to inquiries pertaining to the City's drainage standards and requirements.
- Participate and represent Environmental Services on internal and external working groups, committees, meetings with external agencies and the public as required.
- Prepare written correspondence, reports and presentations to internal and external clients, including residents, regulatory agencies, senior levels of staff and Council.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary graduate from a recognized university with a degree in civil or water resources or related engineering program and a registered P. Eng. designation in good standing with the PEO (or eligibility), or environmental/science, civil engineering technology or related applied science technology program with a C.E.T. designation in good standing with OACETT (or eligibility).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the engineering field with experience in the assessment, planning, design, construction and/or management of storm drainage assets.
- Experience in undertaking Class EA, hydraulic and hydrologic computer modeling for the purposes of design and/or analysis of municipal stormwater systems including storm sewers and stormwater management facilities.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills are required.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt quickly to change is required.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure asset management and project management; experience with trenchless technologies would be an asset.
- Experience with data management software/systems would be an asset.
- Related municipal experience would be considered an asset.
- Must have access to a vehicle to travel within the city as required and there may be a need to operate City vehicles. Must hold and provide a valid class “G” driver’s license and driver's abstract.

Hourly Rate/Salary: $86,858.00 - $115,812.00
